The IVAD Creed: Dedication, Experience,
Expertise and Determination
to Succeed of professionals providing
administrative and other business support services,
virtually (DEEDS), exemplifies our
integrity and commitment to provide superior service.
There are many Virtual Assistants have helped to not only build recognition of the industry but also provide invaluable
insight and assistance to their fellow VAs. We would
like to recognize these exceptional VAs and would like
you to tell us who you feel is worthy of being honored
by current and future VAs.
Thomas Leonard International Virtual Assistant
of Distinction
Tom Leonard is credited with being the person who
used the term virtual assistant as describing the person
he worked with virtually (who just happens to have been
Stacy Brice of Assist U). He is also the one who initially
popularized it. He is the founder of Coach
University , Coachville, the International
Coach Federation, the International Association of Coaches
and passed away in 2003.
This award is to honor a Virtual Assistant who has
been in business for at least 5 years and who has contributed
to the industry in such a way that it has provided a
positive impact on many others and helped them to build
a successful business. If they have headed up a
VA organization or activity; written a book or other
publication specifically to help other VAs; been
a mentor to fellow VAs; or in an impacting way that has
helped the industry grow, we want to know.
Our only pre-requisite is that the nominee must have
been in business at least 5 years and must have done
something to impact the industry in a positive way.

Janet Jordan Achievement Award
Janet Jordan was a recognized industry leader in
the virtual assistance field. Mrs. Jordan’s virtual
assisting career began in 1980, long before the term
“Virtual Assistant” was coined. Along with running her
private VA practices which included clients who spanned
the globe, Mrs. Jordan also trained aspiring
entrepreneurs to launch their own up-to-the-minute,
compelling and relevant virtual assistant practices
through Virtual Assistance U. Jordan created
future leaders in the VA industry. Janet passed away in
January 2006.
This award is to honor a newcomer Virtual Assistant
who has been in business for less than 5 years and has
reached a milestone in their short career in the industry.
This milestone needs to be an accomplishment that has
helped to boost their new business to an overwhelming
success.
